which tablets are the best?
Marie
I want to buy a tablet and I prefer the ones that show the drawing on the tablet itself rather than on the computer screen. Which ones are the best for that? and I'd like to carry it in my bag.
please help..
thank you!
Answer
Those are called Convertible PC Tablets alone, unless you want an insanely expensive Wacom Cintiq that requires you to have it connceted up to a desktop at home... But these PC Tablets are powerful laptops themselves, that have digitizer pens that allow you to draw and interact with on the screen. They are convertible, in a way that they flip out like normal laptops, but you can swivel the screen around into "Tablet-mode", and then you can turn it around back, into it's normal Laptop interface.
People saying that all other Tablets like the Android tablets, iPads, and Kindles are the best and most powerful, they're not. They're great, but they're a bit overrated compared to how much greater you can get.
I'm STILL searching for these ones that have all the right statistics for what I need, on Ebay though:
Fujitsu Lifebook t900/t901/t902
Lenovo Thinkpad x220t/x201t/x200t
~~~~~
The t's stand for tablet, so watch for those. The ones I pinned up over there are actually a bit very difficult to find that are reasonable, other than the x201t and x200, but in PC tablets themselves what you'll want to look for in them is:
Decent processor, most have i5-i7
4GB RAM or more, and if you want more, it'll have to be installed with Windows 64-bit. Not 32-bit. And will need to have TWO memory slots, one for the 4GB RAM pre-installed, and another slot for another 4GB RAM stick that you can buy.
Windows 8 tends to annoy people, but it's slightly better at working with the touch screen's functionality, I'd still go with Windows 7 64-bit though.
Multi-touch is useful if you very much need more capability and speed with working on whatever you'll be doing, other than that, it's more of a luxury.
Find a PC tablet that's "Wacom-penabled", that way it'll be able to use Wacom pens on it. If it isn't penabled, than find a Tablet that atleast has a decent pen digitizer that has a decent amount of pressure-sensitivity(determines how hard or soft you pressed down to get thicker or thinner lines). STAY AWAY, from "N-trig" pens at all costs.
A 4-cell battery is slightly bad, 6-cell is good enough, 8-cell is great.
The size of most Tablet PC's range from 7-13 inches, I'd say to look for ones that are ATLEAST 10 inches and above.
Brightness isn't much of a systematic matter, but if you want, analyze information on their LCD functionality. Or find a Tablet that does well with outdoor use.
Convertible Tablets are more powerful than Slates.
These Convertible PC Tablets are VERY expensive going from $1200-3000 when buying them brand new, or even plainly used on Amazon, so buy them on Ebay. It seems like an unworthy source, but trust me, just look out for good sellers, and you can save a lot. Just ANALYZE their descriptions and selling reputation VERY well. To be safer, search for sellers that have a record of buyers reviewing him at least 95% and above, and make sure the seller provides lots of information, don't buy from anyone that seems to vague and thin with providing a detailed description for their product.
Great PC Tablets that are powerful, yet at very reasonable prices on Ebay are:
Lenovo Thinkpad x200t, Lenovo ThinkPad x201t, Lenovo Thinkpad x61t
HP Elitebook 2760p
Fujitsu Lifebook t5010
