Great Question Autumn I think the Nascar event or maybe the gas...I wish you the best I hope all is good in your life.
I started to go with the ladies diamond panties than I reread the answers.

LADIES-- Do you wear your engagement ring all the time?
btany.
I asked this one other time, and got some smart answers, so. try it again shall we?
I'm a nurse, and I opt not to wear my engagement ring to work just because I don't want my ring to get scratched or something to happen to it. I do wear it out on the weekends, or anytime I'm not working and not stuck at home. My friends from work think I'm insane. I ran into one of them at the grocery store and they automatically noticed I wasn't wearing my engagement ring. I love my ring and my husband, but white gold shows scratches easily... and if I'm only going to be working or doing laundry or grocery shopping, I don't think it's imperative that I wear it. I do wear it out anytime we're going out, like on a date or something of that nature. I don't wear it in the shower, when I'm cooking or cleaning or working...
I guess my friends think I don't love my husband enough to wear the diamond he gave me all the time, which isn't true. I think I'm being practical about the situation.
What about you? Do you wear yours all the time?
I wear my wedding band all the time. Where I work, I didn't have the option to really wear my engagement ring, the prongs are too sharp and poke holes in my gloves.
I wear my wedding band and a watch. No other jewelry is allowed.
Answer
I'm a nurse, and my sister's a nurse. Neither of us wear or engagement rings around all the time. I especially don't wear mine to work. I don't know about you, but we've constantly got to either wash or hands or use alcohol based disinfectants like Purell. That can really damage jewelry! Plus raised rings like an engagement ring can really get in the way of things. And putting on gloves- forget about it! You can poke a hole in gloves with an engagement ring, which could be a health risk. I just wear my wedding ring to work. It's simple, lays flat, and I don't have to worry as much about it getting scratched, etc. No one really comments on it, and I don't think it's all that unusual. Most of the nurses I work with just wear their wedding rings. Other times, of course, when I'm at home, or out, or doing counseling, I wear my engagement ring. But that's because I like it and because it's pretty. I don't really see what the big deal is in not wearing it. You don't need an engagement ring to show you're engaged. The wedding ring says it all.
P.S. You're allowed a watch? We don't get that luxury. Too many idiots not washing properly underneath and around the watch.
