Does anyone actually buy watches from the people who send them spam?

I'm pretty sure I'm getting about 50 spam emails a day, now, trying to sell me "top quality luxury watches". Just wondering if anyone has ever actually bought a watch from someone who sent them random spam.

What's the best luxury watch to own as an investment?

Really looking for a good lux watch at the 3k to 6k price range. I want to enjoy my investment but at the same time same time see the value go up. I know the general rules, watch will go down in value as soon as you walk out door, buy iconic vintage etc. Any watch investor that can give me some good leads? I particularly like Rolex, Omega, Montblanc and IWC.

If you enjoy a high quality watch then go ahead to buy one- but don't ever count on anything like this as an investment.

Have you ever watched Antique Roadshow? They often talk about how a certain artist or style of antique used to be very expensive and then fell out of favor and went way down in value. A lot of them go up a lot more than down- but they make clear that you never know. And since few young people have ever worn a watch- and I am 58 and quit wearing a watch myself more than 10 years ago- this may end up being one of those items that was a great investment for several years- but maybe not so much in the future.
