The second is a man with a pair of ass' ears and entwined with a serpent, situated at the bottom right-hand corner- he is Midas, the king who turned everything he touched into gold.

Answer
I've just been watching the CNN, BBC and Sky News on that very subject. They were showing a horrifying hospital scenes where there was only one survivor, a woman who was a Nanny for the Qaddafi Household. Completely bald with unbelievable scold-burns to her face and head. Qaddafi's wife had poured boiling water on her head for refusing to beat one of the children, as ordered.

All the pro -Qaddafi staff had fled as the revolutionaries approached, leaving the wounded to simply die. 50 people dead, lying in hospital beds.

Famously, Qaddafi boasted of an all female 'Amazon' Imperial Guard, some 100 strong, and they got away as soon as they could and told reporters that they were repeatedly raped by Qaddafi, all his sons and his Generals, as perks for supporting him.

They told of people being shot out of hand during His reign for criticising Him and the camera-men went around the opulent villas and apartments where the regime lived, with gold-plated bath taps, huge private swimming pools and every luxury imaginable.

The only 'human rights that existed there were what Qaddafi decided and that was very little.
