i think it is german, something like sweishausen or schwoshenseur or something like that, it is high end luxury, up there with Rolex.
lots of jewish people like the brand.
it is not steinhausen watches.
i seen this watch brand im talking about in a high end magazine, the watch was for $8,000
Answer
You're talking about Steinhausen watches - it's originally a jewish watch company. The watches are not high end, they're affordable wrist watches, but not high end. Rolex, Movado, Poljot, Rado, etc these are considered high-end.

A question about designer watches and 'classic' watches.?

Well I'm looking for a new watch to buy and I was wondering what the major differences are between say a Rolex/omega/other swiss brand as opposed to watched made by Armani, or cheaper brands such as tissot. For example) How long each will last, whether you are paying purely for brand name e.t.c
Answer
Many cheaper watches last a long time now. A man I know owns an 1893 Patek Philippe and a 1902 Vacheron Constantin that still run as well as new watches, however, and cheaper watches cannot equal such great brands as these. Rolex and Omega are what my friend calls bottom line luxury brands, because they are much cheaper than Patek and Vacheron. He had a German repairman service a Vacheron and an Omega watch for him at the same time. The German said the Vacheron has a much better movement than the Omega. Another repairman he uses says Omegas have better movements than Rolexes. Here are recent comparative prices for basic gold dress watches.
$8200 Rolex "Cellini Danaos"
$29,300 Vacheron Constantin "Les Historiques Ellipse"
An Armani watch will probably last for years, but it will not be running well in 2132 A.D. My friend has a Tissot "PRX" he bought in 1990 that still runs well.
