I am 15 and have been babysitting for 4 years, and have been a parent's helper since I was 10. A parent helper is watching the kids while the parent(s) are home.
I am starting a new family this Friday, and was wondering if anyone has ideas for how much I should get per hour.
The family has two kids 6 and 7 and I will be watching them on Monday and Fridays from 7:30am to 2pm.
Does anyone have any ideas?

go for at least minimum wage an hour but i'd say at least $8 an hour in your case for 2 kids. even if it sounds alot they still need to pay you appropriately for your time and the luxury of in home child care.

What is the actual cost of a cruise for a family with 2 adults and 2 children, 4 and 5 yrs old?

I dont have a specific cruise in mind, but I am deployed and want vacation when I get back. I want to be able to have an idea on the total costs. I am not planning on being cheap but I also dont want to blow a bunch of money I dont have to.
This may sound selfish but I also dont want to sit around and watch my kids do crafts with Goofy for a week while spending thousands of dollars...
Also, what cruises are the most fun and which are the most expensive?

The average price for a cruise is about $150 per day per person. Kids are usually not any cheaper then a adult. Some cruises are more expensive like going through the Panama canal because the cost the ship pays for going through is rather large and each passenger in turn gets charged a bit more. A Alaska cruise also costs more because they (Alaskans) have to make their money in a short period of time(Mid May through early September). Carnival cruise lines would be the least expensive and then Royal Caribbean,Norwegian, Princess, Holland America, then Disney. After that you get into the luxury cruise lines.
What I originally did not make clear is that when you have 4 people in a cabin, it doesn't matter if they are kids or adults, they pay the same. But the third and fourth person in a cabin pays less then the first two.
