Pageant Enchantment
There was once a 23 year old woman named Melody. Melody is a beautiful and attractive woman. She had a fair and flawless complexion, pink and rosy cheeks, a tall and slender body, a sharp nose, deep set eyes, thin lips, and smooth curly brown hair. She inherited such breathtaking features from her mother who is an American mestiza. She also has a pleasing personality. In her spare time, she volunteers to help in churches. She likes animals especially dogs and birds. She excels in Science and has won a few medals in school competitions. She also likes cooking, painting, and singing as a hobby. It is no doubt that she ended up in the beauty pageant industry for all facets of her personality are ideal, rare and perfect. Many girls envy her for having such alluring personality and many guys want her since she is the epitome of the girl they want to treat as a princess. Just like all other beautiful and famous personalities, Melody has a fan page in facebook. So far, she has received over a hundred thousand likes on her fan page. Melody logged in to her facebook account, eager to see how many most awaited likes and uplifting comments she will get on her posts and pictures. Melody recently posted pictures during a trip to Baguio, The Summer Capital of the Philippines with her relatives. A guy named Christopher has complimented her picture. This was a picture of Melody wearing a Maria Clara gown while standing beside a bed of roses near a fountain. He wrote âYouâre like Aphrodite turned into reality. I canât take my eyes off the screen!â Christopher gave her nice compliments in her other pictures for the past three months such as during her Christmas Vacation, or her childhood pictures. These complements make Melody feel special like sheâs the prettiest woman on earth. Melody found herself interested with this guy and she wants to learn more about him. She sent her a friend request in order to start a friendship with him. After two minutes, a facebook notification appears on her screen, indicating that Christopher accepted her friend request. Melody clicks on his profile to learn more about him. She learned that Christopher lives in the same town as hers. This intrigues her further, as she has the luxury of distance to meet up with him. His profile picture also stunned her and made her more aroused. He was wearing a tattered denim pants, black sunglasses, a hat, a pair of headphones on his ears, Nike shoes, and a black and white checkered polo with the collar up. He sat on his motorcycle, flaunting either the vehicle or his fashion sense. He looked up and had his arms crossed over and resting on his chest exhibiting an aura of confidence and sophistication. Melody spent a few seconds glaring at the screen. Sheâs trying to come up with a compliment to show her admiration of his cool and stylish fashion. âYou could be the next DJ. Youâre definitely the boy next doorâ Melody commented on his photo, which she liked afterwards. A chat box appeared on the screen. âThanks Melody for the add!â Christopher on the other computer said. âI canât believe it! Heâs finally talking to me!â Melody thought, her heart beating faster. âThanks Christopher for the acceptâ Melody replied. âYou noticed, I keep complimenting you on your photos. You might have taken notice and got interested in making friends with meâ Christopher replied. âYes. Exactly. I complimented your profile picture tooâ Melody replied. They continued to chat about school, family, their hobbies, etc. âI have a show on Saturday. Wanna come and watch me live?â Melody asked. âSure why not? Wouldnât you want to see me personally? Iâll buy an expensive ticket so I can be reserved on the front rowâ Christopher replied. âThatâs so persistent of you! See you there!â Melody said and logged out.
My ideas would be Christopher falls in love with another contestant, but he discovers she was very ugly and she underwent an operation to alter her looks. Another is maybe one of the judges fall in love with her. Another is when someone tries to sabotage her by putting acid on her bathwater/ Another is maybe one of them gets drunk for some reason and does something for them to break up. Another is when Melody finds another male who comments on her photos and finds him attractive. She sets up to meet with him only to find he is an online predator. In the end, Melody is crowned Ms Philippines and Christopher proposes to her afterwards? What do you guys think?

S. T. Dupont Paris is a designer brand name and manufacturer of stylish lighters, collectible pens, handbags, and recently stylish tech gadgets using the trademark diamond-head pattern. The company has been producing luxury items since 1872 when founded by Simon Tissot Dupont. The founder of the brand, Simon Tissot-Dupont was born in Savoy in 1847. S.T. Dupont owes its initials to him.
History
Simon Tissot founded a carriage company which was destroyed in a fire in 1872. Unabashed, that same year he bought a workshop which made leather briefcases for diplomats and businessman.
In 1884, Simon Tissot Dupont became the supplier of one of the worldâs largest shops â Les Grands Magasins du Louvre â while maintaining his private clientele.
Simon Tissot Dupont handed over his company to his sons in 1919, Lucien and Andre, who, trading under the name of Les Fils de S.T. Dupont (the Sons of S.T. Dupont) relaunched the activity. The activity was focused on high quality travel cases and accessories. Highly qualified craftsmen were called upon and patents were taken out to protect industrial secrets. Two hundred and fifty workers and 17 separate traders were involved in the manufacture, such as goldsmiths, woodworkers, engravers, leather craftsmen, lacquer workers, locksmiths, etc.
S.T. Dupont transferred its workshops from rue Dieu in Paris back to the family's hometown of Faverges in Savoy in 1924.
In 1929 Lucien Tissot Dupont was invited to New York by Louis Cartier to present his travel cases in their 5th Avenue shop. On the ship going to New York he learned about the Crash and the ensuing panic on Wall Street. Upon his return to Paris, in response to the crisis, he decided to move even further upmarket and cater to clients unaffected by the Crash.
Dupont became supplier to kings, emperors, maharajahs, ambassadors, and bankers. Up to 10 exceptional travel cases are turned out of the workshops every month. The master craftsmen work with extravagant materials: crocodile skin, gold and silver, ivory, and tortoiseshell.
In 1971, ST Dupont was purchased by Gillette. The company bought 48% of its stocks.
However, the brand would not last with Gillete too long. In 1987, it was eventually sold to Dickson Concepts Ltd.
Products
Since then, Dupont has gone on to produce lighters, pens, wallets, watches, and fragrances. It currently controls 70% of the luxury lighters market. The first S.T. Dupont serially produced lighter was created in 1941, during World War II. It was made of Aluminum, as brass was used as a strategic metal restricted for war purposes only. From 1958-1963 all lighters were constructed of 18k solid gold with 3% brass. The 50-60's LIGNE 1 series was most popular and very pricey. S.T. Dupont is better known as a masculine luxury brand but it creates accessories and products also appealing to women.
Today S.T. Dupont is active in high quality luxury and jeweled lighters, writing instruments, leather goods and accessories
As of May 25, the most expensive lighter on Ebay.com, at $85,000, is the ST Dupont Prestige lighter.
