I'd ignore that previous post. Though Hermes is a really expensive watch, you probably want some more quality for that price range!

You had the right idea with Patek and Audemars. Those two will always be on the top ten list. Most people would add Rolex, though I'd keep it off the list. I'm a huge fan of:

I have a paper to write in my western humanities class and I need some ideas on how the city and people of Sparta have influenced and affected our culture today. Any suggestions? All I can come up with is possibility the military, but I don't know that much about the military. So if you could help me with that as well. Please help me. Thanks for your time and help.
This topic was assigned to me and I do believe that Spartans had a lot of slaves that they kept submissive by fear.

You shouldn't dwell on Sparta and slavery. Many ancient civilizations were built on the backs of someone else (ex Egypt and their pyramids, the Roman Empire, China and the Great Wall)
